Hi folks:

It has been slightly hecktic around the Outpost lately so I have fallen behind on the updates.

We have had a very busy year so far with lots of large groups comin in to visit. We have several groups in as I write this Newsletter and more coming in this week end. We are in the middle of Bike Week and have a lot of Bikes going and coming in all week. Last week end we had a very large group of families and most did the RIVER trip with out problems. The kids were in the playground daylight till dark,playing on the swings and on the teeter toter. Family cook outs every where and the arroma of BBQ was though the whole camp. We have been putting out tons of groups for over night trips on the Ocklawaha River for the ones whom want to live the rustic life in the woods for just a short time.

We now have a new bus for the river trip shuttles. The old one has some engine problems that I am unable to fix. But that won't stop us from getting you and your group on this Beautiful River. So give us a call and book an ADVENTURE For the whole family.

River conditions: Still have plenty of water to paddle on all of our trips. This is drawdown year for the river, that does not mean that it is not passable. It just means that the level is slightly lower.( abuot 14 inches) we still have an average depth of about 7 feet. So plenty of water.

Camping Conditions:.GREAT Cool weather not too much rain, very low bug count. Heck it can't get much better. Get out of town and into the natural Florida for a change.

Fishing Conditions: Linn has been busy at the Bait shop selling all of the local favorite baits and folks been bringin them in. Some are catching Bass, Brim, Sunfish, Cat fish at night.
